The boat here is representing our mortal life. Our physical form is tied with time represented by time-wheels and the immortal soul has to be freed when time comes. In Hinduism we belief that, if our mortal remains burn at Venaras ghat (i.e., Manikarnika ghat), our spirit (antma) frees forever and can gets connected with the supreme soul (paramantma), lord Vishwanath the creator and controller of the whole universe. Through the different forms and uses of warm and cool colours I tried to portray different shades of life here- enjoyment, sadness, sorrow, celebration, love, affection etc.
